More in the paycheck for July. But the collective agreement is much more than salary ...
If you are an employee with collective agreement, your salary will increase on 1 July – but that is not the only advantage you have of being employed by Nordea.
Over time, many rights and terms have been negotiated, which means that we at Nordea have good terms. Some apply to the entire financial sector through the standard collective agreement, others only apply to us at Nordea through the company collective agreement.
The most recent collective agreement was entered into a year ago and runs until April 2028. In it, it has been agreed that 2.1% will be given in general salary increases from 1 July this year, while the local salary pool for individual increases is 0.8%, which will be distributed according to the principles of the Nordea Salary model (link requires access to Nordea's network). On 1 July 2027, the salary will increase by a further 2.1% and 0.8% respectively - i.e. just like this year.
The best employee benefit
"The collective agreement is the best employee benefit you have. Many take their conditions for granted. But the vast majority of them only exist because someone before us has negotiated them. In this way, membership of Finansforbundet in Nordea is not just about help if something goes wrong. It is also about higher pay, better parental leave, more freedom, more flexibility and greater security – every single day," emphasizes board member Natascha Bødker Feodor Nielsen from Finansforbundet in Nordea.
But maintaining and continuously improving conditions is not a foregone conclusion.
"It is important that employees continue to support Finansforbundet as a trade union in order for us to be in the best possible position in the negotiations with employers in the sector – and in Nordea," adds board member Ole Lund Jensen.
Increased Nordea contribution to holidays and pensions
In addition to the salary itself, the vast majority of employees at Nordea have the holiday allowance be 0.25 percentage points higher than in the sector in general. And the pension contribution is 0.33 percentage points higher than in the standard collective agreement.
It's not all about pay. In the standard agreement, other advantageous terms have been agreed. For example, we have good health insurance* and dental insurance*, which covers part of the dental bill (*links require access to Nordea's network).
Extra days of
The collective agreement also includes a number of extra days off – in addition to the public holidays. It is Friday after Ascension Day, Constitution Day, December 24 and December 31. For a typical finance employee, the four days together add up to an annual value of more than DKK 12,000.
