Congratulations to Jesper, Kim, Maria, Mette, Morten and Stinna!
It's cold and dark out there, but around Nordea a number of employees shine like true superstars, boosting the mood and well-being of their colleagues. Finansforbundet in Nordea has received a total of 102 nominations for this year's Skulderklappet prize ('pat on the back'). All are celebrated locally. The six winners will also be celebrated at Finansforbundet in Nordea's birthday in January
Every year, Finansforbundet in Nordea awards the Skulderklappet Prize to colleagues who have done something special. This year we received 102 nominations – the second highest number in more than ten years! It shows that a big number of colleagues make a difference to the community - and also that the recognition and gratitude for the super colleagues is overwhelming.
Congratulations to all the nominees, who have been celebrated locally with breakfast, surprises and the like.
The many nominations have made it extra difficult to choose the six winners, who in January will each receive a grant of DKK 5,000 from Finansforbundet in Nordea’s Foundation Fund.
Congratulations to the 6 winners:
- Jesper Steen Renneberg, Account Management, Large Corporates & Institutions

- Maria Bruun Carlson, Operations, Advanced Automation
- Mette Chemnitz, Personal Banking Helsingør
- Morten Lynge, Asset & Wealth Management BRM (Business Risk Managers)

Here is an excerpt of the reasons why the six winners deserved to win the Skulderklappet Prize:
"He is always ready to help and likes to throw whatever he has in his hands to help a colleague (...) He has a humble personality, and we actually don't think that he himself is fully aware of how big an importance he has to the team."
"He is the greatest team player we know. He always goes the extra mile especially for his colleagues and is a big reason why it is fun to go to work. He has the biggest caring gene we know and he takes on many of the tasks that no one else will solve (...) It is often people like him who are forgotten when the biggest praises are to be handed out, as his efforts are difficult to read in a follow-up form."
"She is always the driver when joint events are to be held, where the togetherness with the colleagues is a focal point. She is not shy about taking the initiative to gather the team to celebrate any event; be it to celebrate successes or simply because the weather is good. She is also not shy in offering herself to be used as a sparring partner both on a personal and professional level (...) Her recognition, care and helpfulness towards her colleagues also shows what we are doing right , so that we can learn from her and make it even better to be colleagues in the future."
"She makes a very big difference in our branch and to our everyday life. She is unique - socially, professionally as well as personally – which we greatly appreciate. She always has the ability to lift the mood with humorous quips and giggles, and she loyally raises issues on behalf of her colleagues to the management (...) She is our Mette Blomsterberg and often shows up with homemade cakes to the great excitement of us all."
"He is passionate about making a difference - and he does. He is the type of colleague where you smile when his name comes up on the screen for a team call and you look forward to talking to him (. ..) He is always ready to help, encourage and guide. He uses his huge network and happily shares his "Nordea knowledge" to make things go smoothly (...) He is the type who does not just ensure that everyone runs in the same direction, but also takes the time to explain why and how (...) We have many good colleagues at Nordea, but this one is simply something special."
"For us, she is a fantastic manager - for what she is able to do, but even more for who she is (...) Her driving force rubs off on the rest of us and gives us the desire to make an effort and give our best in everything we do (...) She makes room for us to be vulnerable together when life hurts - and with that shows room to be ourselves, to be human and giving us the opportunity to support and back up each other when life is going well."
The six winners of the Skulderklap Prize can look forward to a little extra pampering. On 12 January - at Finansforbundet in Nordea's 33rd birthday - they are invited to a small treat with Finansforbundet in Nordea at Metro, and afterwards the winners are celebrated with a delicious lunch in Tårnet at Christiansborg.
