Everyday heroes were celebrated with bubbles and lunch
Finansforbundet in Nordea started the year by celebrating six everyday heroes for their very special ability to make the working day better for the colleagues around them
This year's six winners of the Skulderklap prize (‘pat on the back’) were celebrated with bubbles, canapés and a delicious lunch with a view from the Tower at Christiansborg.
"Not all heroes wear capes", they say, and that saying applies to all 81 nominees for this year's Skulderklap prizes and in particular to the six winners.

The six winners - Anne-Mette, Bettina, Nikolaj, Joakim, Jette and Tobias - are praised by their colleagues, among other things, for their ability to always be ready, arrange social events, have great empathetic skills and an impressive professional skill. They are also highlighted as colleagues who can always be counted on and who live Nordea's values. The fine words meant that they were selected among the 81 nominees to receive a grant of DKK 5,000 from Finansforbundet in Nordea's Foundation Fund.
Strengthen the glue
"They strengthen the glue that keeps teams together. They go the extra mile, have thoughtfulness and inspire the rest of us. Recognizing their efforts isn't just a formality – it's a reminder of how important it is for a team to have such a colleague. I am incredibly proud to be able to pass on this recognition and remind us all of how much we can achieve when we appreciate those who go the extra mile for the community," writes Vice President Mette Balck Mejlby in this LinkedIn post about the six winners.
Finansforbundet in Nordea thanks the Nordea colleagues for the many great nominations. It is incredibly nice to see that so many have taken the time to acknowledge their colleagues, to inspire collaboration and togetherness in the individual teams and also across teams.
The best recognition you can get
"Being nominated by your colleagues is the best recognition you can get," said one of the Skulderklap prize winners, who in the past has nominated a colleague herself.
All 81 nominees have been celebrated with breakfast or similar in their local teams.
The winners could all talk about surprising and creative ideas when it was revealed locally that they had won this year's Skulderklap prize. Everything from mysterious meetings with the manager, closed doors to the lunchroom and PowerPoints that suddenly were about something completely different than expected. For everyone, it was the case that they were overwhelmed and moved.
