The time bank
Since 2012, Finansforbundet has negotiated a time bank for most employees in the financial sector, ensuring them flexibility and freedom to choose what's most important to them.
All employees are entitled to a time bank. This is described in clause 11 of the standard collective agreement. The time bank is a record showing the amount of time owed to you or the amount of time you owe.
What is the time bank?
The time bank is your personal account where you may deposit up to 400 hours or owe up to 21 hours. Whether to take these hours as time off in lieu or have them paid out is up to you.
What may I deposit in the time bank?
Here are some examples of what you may usually deposit in your time bank:
- The 6th week of holiday
- Dependants' leave days
- Overtime/additional work
- Supplements for working odd hours
- Payment for on-call time etc.
